It is a long running joke in my family that if you don't know what to get mom for Christmas, you can never go wrong with a new pair of slippers. Just this past Thanksgiving, when Hubby and I were visiting, she mentioned that she was in the market for a new pair this holiday season. The woman loves her slippers, what can I say? In all fairness, she does live in an incredibly cold place, so they serve a practical purpose. I am a firm believer however, in the idea of things being aesthetically pleasing and purposeful.
